Luckily, my son covered up my mistake in Bird of Paradise Pose😅
I'm not good at commitment, so I don't swear on promises like "I'll keep trying until I get results!" or "I'll attend yoga classes until I can do this pose!".
However, I found that I could naturally commit to Yoga. My almost three decades as a Yogi never felt like a decision; it just happened.
I took my first yoga class when I first came to New York. It was at a studio in the East Village, and I can't even remember the name of the studio now.
I've come a long way since then.
After many years of practice, I thought I was finally beginning to get a glimpse of what yoga is trying to teach me, but then my body ages and I can no longer easily perform the asanas that I once could effortlessly.
